I assume that you have changed your password on Ebay?... The Gixen password must be the same for your snipes to be able to be executed.

If you have snipes scheduled already log in with you old password, make a note of them and then delete them all. Otherwise you will loose access to them and not have anything to remind you what they were.

Then simply log in to Gixen with your new Ebay password and reschedule all your snipes... then they will have these new credentials associated with them.

Note that changing your Ebay password can cause Ebay to start posting captcha images when you log in from a different location, as Gixen does for you... so you might be best waiting for a day or so after changing your Ebay password before logging into Gixen again with that new password.

Does that mean that each time I login to my Gixen account Gixen records the username and password to use with whatever snipes I make?

Your credentials are stored as part of your login and removed when you log out... so it is only ever in temporary storage on the Gixen server, unless you schedule snipes, then it is stored with the snipe (obviously Gixen needs your credentials in order to place bids on your behalf).

Other than that, I believe Gixen stores a one way hash of your password (meaning it is impossible to determine what your password actually is from the stored value)... that hash value is used for comparison when you log in, in order to determine whether or not it is necessary to double check the values entered with Ebay, thus preventing many unnecessary checks with Ebay.

Mario made a commitment early on in the development of the Gixen software only ever to store passwords for as long as it is necessary to place the bids at the end of he auction.. actually I think they are stored for a couple of days longer than that with the snipe in order to allow you to check the status of the auction for a short time after the auction has finished.
