Haven't been around here for a while...but I notice that Gixen seems to have a time-out function. ie/ session times out
Is this a relatively new function on Gixen ?
It seems kinda short on time before kicking out

I believe there has been a time-out on the session for a while, I have not experienced any recent change in behaviour though.

Certain activities do cause you to loose the session though, can you detect any change in the way you are using Gixen that might be causing your experience of it to change as you describe?

Nope - no difference on my part
The only difference is the existence of a time-out function

Is there any way of lengthening default the time-out ?
Looking at settings.. doesn't seem to be

The session timeout is set to 24 hours of non-activity, and is not configurable. I think that this is reasonable?

Yup.. hard to argue with that
Let's see if I can duplicate the situation

Two days ago, it happened twice, perhaps 3 times in one evening
after perhaps one hour of idle time while checking eBay's listings

If it re-occurs, I'll post again
Thanks

To help in your investigation... I have found things that cause you to loose access to your cookies are the type of things that cause this behaviour.

Related to time-out, I notice when my session times out and reverts to a screen having pre-populated log-in info, for some reason the password is incorrect. If I then click "Home", then the pre-populated log-in info on that screen is correct.

I changed my password on eBay's advice after they got hacked, so it's been awhile but for some reason the old PW continues to populate in the time-out log-in but the new PW populates in the "Home" log-in.

Am I missing something?

prosper-o,

Password saving is a function performed by your browser, not the Gixen software.

I imagine you have credentials saved by your browser for each form you have used, in the past, to log in... for the one with the wrong credentials you need to update your browsers' store... usually that is just a matter of logging in to that form again with the correct credentials and then when the browser prompts you, as to whether you want to update the storage, accept that.

If that doesn't do it then I would recommend clearing your browsers' storage of passwords and starting again.
