Message was "could not bid" due to need for ebay verification.
But the bid by Gixen was accepted, although I was outbid.
Also I tried your proxy server fix, but then ebay would not even accept a manual bid. I have reverted to the default and have made a (low) manual bid OK
Hope my next snipe works

Things are back to normal now and your snipes should work without the need for you to verify your account via the Gixen proxy.
I guess you have a Mirror subscription and that is why you bid was placed.
