Hello,

I have a 1 year gixen mirror subscription (payed september 2013).
I would like to add some snipes to a Contingency group, but I can't find that option in the desktop manager.

I've adde 4 snipes to a group, but where do I make it so that when the first bid fails, the others are cancelled?

Thank you!

I believe that Contingency Groups can only be set up via the web interface here, after you log in... they also need to be enabled via the Settings page before they appear as an option.

This is correct, please enable them first on the settings page (Web UI only). See if the option shows up in GDM, but if memory serves me well I haven't added support for contingency groups to GDM.

Allright, I got it to work!

One more question:

Let's say I have 4 snipes in the contingency group:

1
2
3
4

They are all in chronological time order, more than 2 minutes end time between each other, from the same ebay seller.

Now, as was the case yesterday, I only wanted to win snipe 2,3 and 4 IF I first won snipe 1 (the most expensive of the 4). This was to save on shipping cost. If I only won 2,3 and 4, the total price including shipping would not be worth it.

If I understand correctly, If I win snipe 1, my other snipes will go through, until for example snipe 3 fails. In that case, snipe 4 won't go through.

What I'd like to see is that snipes 2,3 and 4 ALL go through, but only if snipe 1 is won.

Is this possible? I hope I made myself a bit clear...

Sorry, it isn't possible for the operation of the other snipes in a contingency group to be dependant only on the outcome of the first snipe.

I have pressed for it to work the way that you suggest for many years, but Mario does not wish to change it because there may be some that like it the way it currently works.

Personally, I think it would be an advantage to everyone if the function were changed to operate as you suggest... I have even previously asked if anyone can justify any reason to keep the current operation, but have never received a positive supportive response to that (only others that suggest it should work the way you and I think it should).
