|

I had to change my e-Bay password and I expect that somewhere in Gixen
I need to make that change also.
But, I cannot figure out where to do it.
Your help is appreciated.

Dick, you just log in to Gixen with the new password. Gixen password is always the same as the ebay password. Make a note of any snipes scheduled under the old password beforehand, as you will no longer see them after you log in with the new password. |

|

As I subscribe to the Mirror service, I had the option to do the three operations on the title:
Exported my snipes (there were only two)
Changed ebay password (successfully)
Relogged into Gixen via new p/w (successfully)
Deleted existing snipes.
Imported snipes from saved file (seemingly OK)
The two snipes look OK in the web page display.
Can you confirm they should execute OK, Mario?
(there is no p/w info in the exported/imported [very simple] file) |

I am concerned about this step - "Deleted existing snipes". After you log in with the new password, you should no longer see any snipes. If you see any, this probably means you logged in with the old password. |

I changed my password at ebay, and then logged into Gixen with my new password and saw all my snipes were gone.
I can't log into Gixen with my old password.
I tried to change my password back at ebay, but it won't let me reuse an old password.
I subscribe to the mirror service, and my snipes there are blank too.
I have about 50 snipes scheduled to hit over the next 4 days. Is there any way to recover them?

Jim, please email me and I will provide you with a list. Include your ebay username. |

Of course after the change of password from ebay all the previous snipes are gone from my account. Now does that mean that the snipes will still go through and I am fighting against my old snipes with the new password? |

No, snipes scheduled under the old password are dead. Email me if you need a list. |

Thanks for that belated advice.
Just changed my password (as forced by eBay) and lost all the snipes that I had set up. All due within the next day or so, so will write those off if I can't recall them.
Could you please put a warning about this "feature" somewhere...? |

I appreciate this thread with its clarification that any bids under eBay name with previous password are dead. Since eBay is requesting everyone change their password after a recent breach, I'm sure many will have this same question. Thanks! |
