Item number 221429864709 on ebay, place bid under gixen.
Previously worked well for 5-6 items in the past.
However recently failed 2-3 snipes showing error (7).
lates failed item to snipe is the above one.
The seller does ship globally so not due to shipping restriction.
I do sign in and out of ebay USA and ebay Singapore/Malaysia as these different ebay sites require a new login session but does that affect the sniping service?
Pw has not been changed since the start of using Gixen.

can kindly see why are all my snipes failing this 1-2 weeks. Thanks
What is error (7)? I clicked it but ebay system page doesn't really say what happened.

hard to confidently sign up for $6/year if all snipes kep failing. Thanks

UV88,

Below is what Gixen received from eBay while trying to place a bid. If you email me, I will provide you with the page received. The exact reason is not stated, but if you call eBay customer support they may tell you more.

---
We are sorry but the item you selected may not be purchased due to Seller shipping restrictions, country specific import/export or other relevant restrictions.

Hi Mario, thanks for troubleshooting, but the auction clearly stated it can ship international via Global Shipping Program and even gave a charge to my country. I have used gixen to snipe in auctions with exact shipping conditions, so it isnt any shipping restrictions.

Just sounds weird if all 3 snipes i placed recently failed consecutively. I tried sniping on another book few days back, snipe wasnt executed and message was also error. The seller auction page claims ship overseas and gave a fixed rate, no country restrictions.

Wonder if I am signed in to ebay US, then I change to ebay Singapore and log out of ebay US. Will that affect gixen? id and pw are same for all ebay accounts, so no change in username and pw. How? Any thoughts?

UV88, I have seen many times that in the listing one thing is stated, yet the restriction is still in place. The page returned by eBay leaves little doubt. This is not something that Gixen mis-interpreted, the actual return page is logged. If you email me, I will you provide you with it.

I don't think it matters at all to which country site you are logged in, the only thing that matters is your address / country and the restrictions the seller put in place, whatever they are.

I find that the most reliable way to avoid this problem is to only ever search Ebay from your home Ebay site... and not ever bother searching on the American Ebay.com site.

Otherwise, as Mario says, you can not rely on what is said on the auction page... the restrictions are invisible until you try to place a bid.

No, the only way to have an address that is always in the area that a seller is happy to ship to is to have many Ebay accounts registered in different countries at different addresses... but you also need to be able to verify those addresses as ones you can accept shipments to so you need friends in all those countries.
