Difference in Gixen time remaining and that of ebay's

Am thrilled with Gixen; thank you for its design! I am however confused about a matter as a relatively new user of Gixen and have not seen this matter addressed in any of the posts.

Often an item I am bidding upon shows Gixen's time remaining until bidding closes (Time to End) is different than that of eBay. This difference is sometimes by as much as an hour. (I know my computer's clock matches eBay's if there is any question.)

Should I be concerned about this? Will the bid be executed by Gixen on time regardless? I have a recent example for your use. Even though my Bid was much lower than the final winning bid, I was earlier worried about the disparity of time showing throughout the bidding. Even after the bidding had ended, Gixen was still showing 2 or 3 minutes remaining. The item for your review is 221359144322.

I have won some other bids by Edit-ting my bid by a few pennies and then clicking Add. (Never within 2 minutes of the close of bidding, though!) This has resulted in the Time to End being much closer to that of eBay.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Do you use the web interface or Gixen Desktop Manager? I just looked at 221359144322 and I see no difference between end time on ebay and the one in the Gixen database. Gixen updates end times periodically (in case they change, which is rare), but in this case the original end time and all subsequent end times always matched the end time on ebay listing.

So I am quite unsure how you saw any discrepancy.
