I just subscribed to mirror, so now I can choose my bid times.
What I am confused about though is the difference between the offset time and mirror time (I know they are snipe times, but strategically speaking)? Which is better to have go second?
Right now I have the offset at 3 seconds and mirror at 6 seconds. Mirror would let you choose 15 seconds... but what is the benefit to having a snipe time at 15 seconds?
Thanks! |

Offset time is the number of seconds before auction end when your bid is sent to ebay. Mirror time is the same thing, just for the mirror server.
Benefit of sending your bid sooner (=larger offset) is having bid increment advantage over other snipers.
It's hard to tell what the best offset time is - this has been discussed many time in the forum. The default 6 seconds is a sensible time. My personal favourite offset is 8 seconds. |
