It is not the same issue. I "check" the "Remember username and password"
box, but on subsequent start-ups they are not automatically filled in and I have to fill them in manually.
I am running Google Chrome and do not have this problem anywhere else.

From what you say later I presume that "check" is part of Google Chrome?
There isn't an option here on Gixen to ask it to remember your password.
I can see Mario has not changed the names of the boxes where we input our credentials... which is why my Firefox option still works... other than doing that I can't really see what Mario could possibly have done to stop Chrome operating as it does for other sites... so, I would suspect it is a change that has been made to Chrome... maybe it is worth you investigating Chrome support to see if others are having similar issues. _________________ Mark
