I have 11 items on my ebay watch list.
I have 2 scheduled bids through Gixen.com.
All of the other 9 items have a $0.00 scheduled bid.
I realize that a $0.00 bid will not buy anything or obligate me, but it seems unnecessary.
I am new to Gixen and I wonder if I did something wrong to create these useless bids ?

When you import your Watch list from eBay Gixen does not know how much you are prepared to pay for the items, so it gives them a value of 0.0.

To make them do something you need to go through each and 'Edit' them to give them the maximum amount that you are prepared to pay.

You did nothing wrong that is how it is supposed to work when you import your Watch List.

If you don't want to schedule a snipe on those auctions you also have the option to Delete them.
