Well that's a great introduction to the Gixen site. I set up a snipe on an item and it doesn't even bid for me. The item was 360460936621. I set it up well in advance and was to bid 6 sec before auction end. I checked whn i got back home and after the auction and it said, Ebay ERROR FLOW: BID RESET
Great! I really wanted the chassis. I had it set to bid up to $230 and the damn thing went for $171.

Really dejected about this.

I read the other thread of this same subject. I'm using Firefox12 and I do already have a cc on file with ebay. Very discouraging to try to get something you want with this and then it doesn't work.

realradarman, an occurrence of this error has subsided, and it happens very rarely now, so you've been quite unlucky for your first snipe. I would switch to a different browser nevertheless.

NICE...I just got the same thing today...Ebay item number 160810953035. I placed a snipe for $76 max and the item sold for $61. My bid was never placed...logged in via Gixen to see what the heck happened, and I see: EBAY ERROR: BID FLOW RESET (11)

I am a long time Ebay-er and I've used several snipe programs over the years...I tried Gixen (this was my first snipe attempt with it) because I wanted something that didn't require running an app locally on my machine...this is completely unacceptable.

Needless to say I'm likely done with Gixen...can anybody at least provide me with the technical details of what happened? Once my snipe is entered with Gixen browser version is irrelevant...the snipe them originates from your servers, does it not?

Update: I found another auction to bid on today after I lost out earlier when Gixen didn't place my bid. First I made sure I was logged out of Ebay's site. Second, I logged into Gixen via Internet Explorer. After submitting my snipe, I logged out of Gixen and closed all browers. This time Gixen worked and I won the auction. So...it does seem that the issue (somehow) has something to do with either (a) being logged out of Ebay or (b) not using Firefox.

While this error is now relatively rare (I am aware this is not much of a consolation to users who experience it), when it happens, it always happens to users who use Firefox 12 on Windows. At this point, I still have no idea why, only ebay knows this.

Was willing to go $25 - item went for $12 and GIXEN never made a bid for me. What a waste of time & opportunity.

Super FAIL.

Should have read more before using.

Doh.

Ethan_Mack,

Were you using Firefox 12?.

If so have you tried Marios' suggestion of using a different browser?

I am trying various things to eliminate this problem completely for all Firefox 12 users. In the last 18 hours since the latest updates no Firefox 12 user has experienced this problem. We'll see if this persists and if the problem comes back.
