|
|
I have a suggestion: it would be convenient if I could paste an item's URL (e.g., http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=<ITEM NUM>) instead of an item number in the 'item number field' and the system would parse it to the item number embedded therein. This would save me nearly a minute per snipe as it is fast and easy to copy and paste the URL of an item but takes extra time to locate the item number (Ebay has apparently just hidden it from the items's page --- very annoying) or extract it fro mthe URL by hand.
I had hoped that pasting an item's URL in to the field might already work but when I tried this I got a bogus error message "Sorry, this item is already present."
It would also be nice if attempting to add an item already present but at a different snipe price would replace the snipe with the new price instead of throwing an error. |

Pasting URL instead of item id should work. However if you already have that item in the snipe list, the error is due. Replacing it is not really the preferred action in my view. |

Thanks for your response, Mario. It did indeed work when I tried again with a different item. Pasting the item URL did not work when I first tried it (unfortunately I did not save the URL in question). I'll let you know if i find another item URL that does not work in the item-number field. |
