is released. It contains only minor fixes, e.g. better username encoding to support usernames that contains spaces. If 1.1.1 is working fine for you, there is no need to upgrade.

After starting and giving in user name and password I've got error: "Could not get item list, API return: ERROR (111): NON SUBSCRIBER2

It only works for Mirror subscibers... that only costs $6 per year. _________________ Mark |

Does GDM support proxy setting? I'm trying to use it at work also, but it can not connect to site.
About dialog shows ver. 1.1.1 btw. |

Can you provide more information as to where your proxy server is defined, there are many different ways that proxys can be configured. _________________ Mark |

No, unfortunately, I don't have access to proxy, nor could I influence it's configuration. Regular web is working fine and I can check my bids on gixen.com from IE or Chrome, but I would like to be able to use desktop manager if possible. |

I'm not asking you to tell us what it is and I accept that you can't change it... Is it defined in your web browser or on your computer or on your network, if on your network where?...
Perhaps your IT department could tell you if you don't know yourself. _________________ Mark |

Gixen Desktop Manager is using Gixen API, which is using https, not http. I would be surprised to see that proxy is used for https, so the problem may be something else. What happens when you try to connect?
I think that incompatible openssl library is more likely to be cause of this. |

Sorry, I thought you are asking to setup proxy server itself. On my local pc I can set proxy address on Internet Options/Conection tab/Lan settings.
Mario: nothing happens, it just stays at "connecting to gixen..." status, until connection timeout. |

Ah yes stupid me... the proxy isn't going to be used, Mario is right. (BTW it wouldn't use browser settings even if it were using http).
I'd start looking at getting another ssl library as Mario suggests. _________________ Mark |

I have been using this app for about a month on my 64 bit Vista pc. About 20% of the time when adding or editing a snipe it hangs and never comes back. Just sits with fields grayed out and I have to restart the app and reenter info/edits.
Snipes I do get the app to accept seem to be working fine. |

I'll see what can be done to better handle timeouts. GDM is great if you have a good internet connection, as it provides you with real-time price updates. If your internet connection is not the greatest, a browser is a better choice. |
