snipe not placed

Hi Mario

I just placed a snipe on 200630737928 and watched the auction end without my bid being placed.

It finished for GBP 26 and my snipe was GBP 32.79

Any ideas what happened?

Geezer, you submitted this bid to Gixen 43 seconds *after* auction already ended.

I must have amended it as I actually set the snipe up about 20 minutes before the end and had the confirmation box come up.

I debated about raising the snipe but didn't actually change anything. If the edit box was open would that have nullified the snipe?

No, only when you click on "Update". I can see the previous entry, but it was deleted 6 minutes before auction end.

Oh well, my fault Mario, I certainly didn't intend to delete but equally accept Gixen didn't delete it.

I thought I'd only opened the edit box so must have deleted in error.

The seller does not ship to your country. If you log in through the web interface you can see the original page returned by ebay. It says "You are unable to bid on or buy this item because: The seller doesn't ship to the location where your primary shipping address is located."

Strangely, I asked the seller about the combined parcel and he named a price for me.And there is not my contry in exclusions .

I see this often - apparently sellers are unaware of the restriction, or they think they lifted it, and they didn't. eBay may be responsible for not making it more clear - some choices sellers make during the listing process may be resulting in restrictions sellers are unaware of.
