|
|
Hi there, I had set a snipe on item # 140503511664. But ebay shows that Gixen did not place a bid. I had bid nearly $100 more then the winning bid. What went wrong. Is Ebay to blame, did they end early? Or did Gixen just not bid? If anyone could explain I would appreciate it. Thanks |

Mario will have to look into this as he is the only person that has access to the Gixen servers, I'm sure he will be along later.
To help him investigate, would it be right to assume your eBay id is theilnana?
Could you tell us whether this snipe was mirrored or only executed from the Main server? _________________ Mark

Unfortunately this bid arrived too late. I am quite sorry about that, but this does happen occasionally. |

This has happened to me a few times and just happened again tonight with
Ebay Item = 120679142380.
I don't believe I've ever won a bid using Gixen. The few I've won I've actually manually bid at last minute via ebay.
Any ideas? |

If you are also bidding manually you may well be preventing Gixen from being able to place a bid, eBay does not allow two bids from the same user for the same amount (or less). _________________ Mark |

For 120679142380 your bid was not late, it was too low. Even though it was one cent higher than the current high bid, it did not meet ebay's bid increment requirement.
As for manual bidding - if you always bid manually, you don't really give Gixen a chance to place a bid for you. |

hello is that really truth that ebay does not allow to bid from same account twice (software/manualy or software/software) as Cupid mentioned? because I was happy user for about 1 year of baygenie based on multiple computers running same program to prevent beeing outbided or late... |

You can bid twice, but you can't submit the same amount twice. |

Maybe I should clarify this further, on eBay you cannot bid the same amount (or less) at a later time than a bid that has already been accepted.
If the bids are placed at exactly the same time eBay will often accept them both, this is why when you have both the Gixen Mirror and Gixen Main offsets set to the same value you will see that Gixen places two bids. _________________ Mark |
