My first time - gixen does not make it on time

I guess this is my first time where gixen drops the ball... Have there been recent problems with gixen (I noticed I could not access gixen.com for many hours yesterday) that have any relevance to this dropped snipe...?

gixer, I found that as of recently number of failures increased, and the last time I made some statistics was 0.88% for the main server, which is 2-3 times the normal rate.

I am looking into this - my initial suspicion was that it was ebay servers that are causing this (due to higher load), but I am now installing some monitoring programs to verify this.
