Edit function is implemented as "Delete" + populate fields...
This is done so in order to keep the interface simple and avoid additional screens. Let me know if you notice any bug.

I haven't been able to payback yet for this wonderful feature but hope to do so in the future when my website is set up. Any reccos for a good web host?

I often use the \"modify\" buton to change bids, bu never was sure what the\"edit\" button was for. Thought I would see if it allowed me to add a comment of some kind. What is it actually for? How can it be used?
Great site

Assuming you're referring to the standard desktop/laptop web interface, not the App or Mobile sites ?

The Edit button is just the way to get the Modify fields displayed, and populated, so that you can then change them to different values using the Modify button.

If you want to add comments you first need to enable that feature on the Settings page in the Comments section.

As an aside, when looking at this I find that the Cancel button no longer seems to do what I'd expect, which is to just remove the Modify options and return to the normal display with options to Add a new snipe. I hardly ever use the Edit options as I decide the amount I'm prepared to pay, and then, if the price goes higher than will be accepted, I just delete the snipe. So, this may have been like that for quite some time.
