"This snipe may have been entered too late..."

I'm trying to set up a snipe, and keep getting this error message:

"This snipe may have been entered too late into Gixen and may not be executed."

However, I checked the item number and it is definitely correct; the auction doesn't end for 5 days; and my bid is $25 over the current bid. What's going on?

I've seen this error if you enter a currency symbol in the <Bid> field. You should only enter a numerical amount in the <Bid> field. For example, entering 15.43 is OK (but entering $15.43 is not OK).

If that's not the problem, please post the eBay item number so we can have a look.

Please post the item id, this is likely a bug and I would like to fix it.
