Interestingly this is a case where your snipe would have been better placed earlier as before 7 seconds before the auction ended the auction price was lower and your bid would have been accepted.

'The seller ended this listing early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price.'

So it was no longer running when gixen came to place a bid.
