Hi,

I am not 100% sure about this, so I wanted to check to make sure:

If there's a reserve price, will Gixen automaticallly bid high enough to meed the reserve,
provided my maximum bid is above the reserve price?

Thanks so much.

E Smile

Yes, it will - Gixen always submits your maximum bid to eBay, and then eBay proxy bidding takes over. Note that if reserve price is not met by your bid, your high bid will be shown lower by eBay (enough to achieve high bid, but not enough to meet reserve price). This is what often makes people think Gixen did not bid high enough.

That's great! Thanks so much, Mario!

And thanks especially for creating and running Gixen! It's an excellent service and has helped me win quite a few real deals, plus it makes bidding on Ebay a WHOLE lot less stressful and tiime-consuming while maximizing chances at success!

Actually, the answer to this question should be "no".

The sniper can not control that, it would be other bids and ebay's proxy system that would be the controlling factors.

I have a sniping site myself.

george,

Yes, its the eBay bidding process that controls this, thats the technical detail behind the answer. However, I still think that the answer to the question that was asked is, as a result, 'yes'.

I agree. Technically, the answer is "yes" considering what OP said.
There is nothing said about other bids etc.
This is not done by special way of sniping, but by eBay itself.

I don't need to have a sniping site to confirm it Smile

Hi -- I too am wondering about the bidding when there is a reserve --- here's what happened: according to the seller, the reserve was $250. I put in a Gixen bid of $311. My bid showed up on eBay as $51 ... a buck more than the next high bidder ... and the auction ended without the reserve having been met. So, it would appear that either the reserve was higher than what the seller told me ($250) or there is a glitch in ebay's software. Can't think of any other explanations, can you? Love your service !
Thanks.

Reserve must have been higher than $311, that's the only explanation, no matter what the seller says. It's impossible a glitch like that would go unnoticed by ebay, that would be a huge deal.
