If you post the auction number here, someone will take a look for you.
In my experience its usually because the 'auction' only has a 'Buy It Now' option, so its not possible to place a bid, its only possible to buy it at the price the seller has offered it at, in that case its not really an auction at all.
Your case may be different though.
