"Could not add this item." message. Why?

I have six auctions set up for sniping, but when I tried to add another one, 320218727732, I get the message "Could not add this item." I tried several times to add this, but I get the same message each time.
Why is this?

I apologize for taking up your time when I should have in the beginning done a search to see if my question had already been answered, which it had, so now I know.
I guess the reason is that I needed to place a higher bid on the item.

Well not exactly, that auction only has a Buy It Now option, so its not really accurate to call it an auction at all, its just an item for sale, so either you just buy it for the price the seller has set or you move on to something else, it certainly can't be sniped.
