My snipe failed and returned this error status: ?AUCTION RESTRICTED: SHIPPING ADDRESS COUNTRY RESTRICTED?
I?ve used Gixen many times and have won many auctions without any issues. This is the first time I?ve encountered this error.
Item: 267730718646
However, this doesn?t make sense because:
My eBay account is registered in the UK.
I only have one delivery address, which is in the UK.
The listing was located in the UK and posted to the UK.
My Gixen country and target eBay sites are all set to United Kingdom.
My eBay authorisation is valid until 2028.
The auction ended with:
1 bidder
Winning price: ?GBP 40.00 (starting price)
My Gixen max bid was ?GBP 49.59
So if my bid had been submitted, I should have won the auction.
Has anyone seen this happen before? Is it possible eBay returned an incorrect API error, or is there anything else that could have caused Gixen to reject the bid? |

| I had the same thing - just lost an item because of this error when me and the seller are both UK and it's worked in the path. eBay authorised and subscription valid too. |

I agree it seems odd for these bids to be rejected.
It's possible that for Ebay to introduce new error codes and for Gixen to misinterpret the response as a result.
This will be some sort of rejection by Ebay though, Gixen doesn't reject anything itself.
Perhaps Mario might be able to discover more from the server logs, he can be contacted directly via email at the support address provided on the Contact page.
Be sure to always provide your Gixen id, and in this case the auction id together with the description you've already provided, or a link to this thread.

I had the same thing twice last night, but they were for auctions where my bid was too low to count. I'm in the UK and the items were in the UK.

Same here for me yesterday with: 127972793255
I'm guessing that a bid from Gixen server is being recognised as overseas for an auction that is only allowing UK based bidders and for whatever reason is associating the account with the server?
Sure it'll get sorted, but a bit annoying missing out on stuff where I know I could have manually sniped myself. |

yes exactly this - annoying to miss out on things using a service you pay for where you could've done it manually yourself for free and won the item... |
