Hi,

I signed up for the Mirror auto-renew years ago, and have been paying annually. For some reason my Mirror subscription stopped working, however I just got the latest payment receipt from Paypal for this year's renewal, but something seems messed up.

This may be related to a separate issue, which is that I think I have two accounts. One (the original, that I think I signed up for the Mirror under) is andrewb, and the other is andybaldman. I don't know or remember why I have the second account, or if the name was changed due to some other issue.

I can log in under andybaldman, and I get the timer. However if I try to log in under andrewb, I get the 'Your ebay authorization has expired or expires in less than 10 days. Please renew it' error message. However when I try to go to the settings page, the site throws an Error 500 message, and/or just keeps looping me back to the same page.

I thought I had things set up to just renew my Mirror subscription indefinitely (i.e., until I cancel), but something seems to have changed(?)

Also, I noticed the Mirror pricing changed. Are those of us who signed up years ago grandfathered in at the old price? Or do we have to somehow change the auto-renewal to adjust to the new price?

Thanks. (I really appreciate this site, and what you guys do!)

After the first section of the Settings page, on either of the accounts, do you have details of any payments that you have made being detailed ?

In the payment notification that you get from Paypal does it reference which Gixen account it relates to ?

The 'authorization' failure relates to the second section of the Settings page:
https://www.gixen.com/blog/ebay-third-party-authorizations/

N.B. You should not try to authorise two different Gixen accounts to the same Ebay account, that won't work and only the last Gixen account that you authorised will have a valid authorisation if you try to do that. That's because on the Ebay side of things they only have one authorisation for Gixen per Ebay account.

As for 'grandfathered' payment plans, that's correct as Mario recently discussed here, he regards that as an additional benefit for long standing supporters of the site. There is no need to adjust it.

Do you recall ever using the 'Transfer your mirror subscription' section of the Settings page, because that might also help us to track down and explain the unexpected behaviour that you are currently experiencing ?

On the andrewb account's settings page, it says, \"Your Gixen mirror subscription is good until Wed, Mar 21, 2029\", and has all payment histories for the payments I've made.

From what you're saying, it sounds like I need to unlink my second Gixen account from my ebay account, and re-authorize it to the one I have the Mirror subscription to.

I never transferred the Mirror. But what might have happened was when I switched PC's and logged in to the new machine, maybe it defaulted to my second account for some reason (which I didn't realize I had). I know I've been using Gixen timer-free for a long time, so it was strange that it started appearing all of a sudden, when I know I've been paying for the Mirror.

I guess I'll try moving the auth to the other account. Thanks for the help.

Yes, what you suggest should work.

You need to end up with the valid authorisation on the same Gixen account as your Mirror subscription.

Another alternative is to transfer the Mirror subscription to the account that currently already has the valid authorisation. To do that you would use the 'Transfer your mirror subscription' section of the Settings page.

It's up to you whichever you find easier and are happy with but with the options Mario has provided it's possible to use either of your accounts in the way that you want, without having to cancel your 'grandfathered' Mirror subscription.
