OK, you seem to be in a bit of a confused state at the moment.
That's not very unusual, with the Gixen set up.
Your Gixen id is a different thing from your Ebay id.
If you change your Ebay id name on Ebay, all that does is invalidate the authorisation that you gave Gixen to bid on that Ebay account.
At that stage all you needed to do was redo the authorisation in the second section of the settings page and you'd have been fine from then on. OK perhaps the names of the Gixen and Ebay accounts wouldn't have been similar/the same but that's actually not an issue, the advice is to keep those separate anyway, though I know many prefer the accounts to have similar names, if not exactly the same.
There was no need to change anything about your actual Gixen account.
Now you say you 'changed my Gixen username' which is not possible, so I presume what you actually did was set up a new account and transferred your Gixen subscription to that new Gixen account ?
That would still result in you having two Gixen accounts, are you able to log into either one of them ?
Perhaps you didn't set up a new account and have transferred your subscription to a non existent Gixen account ? I don't actually know if subsequently setting up an account, after you've already transferred a subscription to it, will work... but that might be worth trying.
If you can still log in to your old Gixen account you could transfer your subscription back to that, before re-authorising your Gixen account to use your newly named Ebay account, using the second section of the Settings page.
If you can log into your new Gixen account you can also set up the authorisation via that account, that's presumably where you were trying to get to before you started this process.
From what you've written so far I am presuming it's the new (or non existent) Gixen account that you can't log in to, that is presumably because you think you've only got one that you've changed the name of, but, as I say, that's not actually possible.
Where we go from here really depends on the details of where you've ended up... and that's still a bit hard to tell, from what you've written.
You understanding the possibilities should help though, I'm hoping.
For any Gixen account that you've lost access to the process of regaining access starts with one of the options provided here:
https://www.gixen.com/main/forgot.php
... but perhaps don't go there yet, until you have a better understanding of where you currently are, how the system works, what you're doing and where we need to end up.
Obviously what's happened on Ebay and the cancellation of the sale by the Ebay seller isn't anything that was influenced by your use of Gixen, or can be addressed by any actions you take here. _________________ Mark |
