Hi! I?m new here. I started using Gixen because the service I was using kept unlinking from my ebay account. It never happened before and now I?ve missed a few auctions because of it. I?m worried about it happening here because of some settings on my ebay account or iPad that I?m not aware of and may have changed recently to cause this to happen. Is there anything you?re aware of that I need to change in my settings to stop this from happening? Possibly related - eBay keeps asking me to login much more often than it did. This has been happening for a few days. I uninstalled the ebay app and downloaded it again and it seems to have stopped the frequent logins but not the unlinking issue on the other site, hence me being here Smile I just want to make sure it?s not something on my end that I need to change, I intend to stay on Gixen (purchased the mirror service), I?m not trying to get you to fix my issue on the other site, just to be clear about my intentions Smile

While I?m asking this I may as well ask my other question Smile I use proxy shipping so have delivery addresses in other countries. When I bid manually I have to change my default shipping address to the relevant country to allow the bid to be placed; will I need to do this using Gixen or will it place the bid without an address change on eBay?

Thank you! Smile Sarah

The only things that are known to cause authorisations to be revoked that are in control of the Ebay user are changing of credentials (like user name or password) or deliberately manually removing the authorisation whilst logged on to their site.

Other than that, the automated Ebay system removes the authorisation 18 months after it is enabled.

Ebay have never been known to send notifications about the removal of authorisations, no matter what the cause.

With respect to delivery restrictions, yes they still exist when bidding via Gixen, so either you carry on remembering exactly when you need to change them... or the method I recommend is to set up separate Ebay accounts for each of your delivery addresses and then leave them static on their site. That does, of course, then require multiple Gixen accounts too, and then remembering which one to log into to make your bids eligible when you schedule snipes on that account... but, for me that's easier and more convenient than constantly having to remember when to change delivery addresses on a single Ebay account, and inevitably getting that wrong occasionally (or just being too busy doing other important things, to be able to get to do it at what occasionally is going to be a very time sensitive and inconvenient time).

Thank you, that?s really helpful. I suspected it was a glitch on the other site I was using. It?s been less than 18 months since I gave the authorisation and knowing eBay won?t be doing anything in the background confirms my suspicions of a site glitch. Thank you for the address related advice too, much appreciated!
