Item canceled at end of bidding.

Why was this item bidding canceled at end of bidding. Was there a minimum limit on it?

On the listing near the top is the message:

'This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold'

That means the seller chose to end the auction early and sell for the current high bid... You'd need to ask them why they did that, it makes little sense to me that Ebay even allow sellers to do it, but they do.
