Something strange happened. I bid on the item early from my eBay account. Got outbid. Then went to Gixen today (about 6 hours before the end of the auction) and put in my bid. The auction just ended and there was no bid from Gixen from me. When I went to Gixen to see why in the comments it says "You are not eligible to bid on this item."

What happened?

This is something that Mario has been looking for an example of, for quite a while now.

In order to pursue this with Ebay he needs an example where an Ebay id has been used to bid manually but has had a later bid rejected by Ebay with this reason given, exactly as you describe.

Please can you email the details to him direct at the support address given on the Contact page.

I guess it's also worth asking the seller if they changed any of the conditions on the auction in between your successful bid and your rejected one ? There should be a record on the listing of any updates that were made to things like where the seller is prepared to send the item.
