Hello Gixen Support,
I have recently experienced multiple cases where my scheduled snipes failed with the message ?AUCTION ENDED EARLY OR SNIPE LATE.?
One recent example:
eBay Item: 287605422556
Item: POP 1 Union Arena Release Event Winner Haise Sasaki BGS Pristine 10 Black Label
My scheduled bid: USD 229.00
Winning price: USD 205.50
The auction appears to have ended normally with 25 bids, but Gixen did not place my bid. Since my maximum bid was higher than the winning price, I would like to understand why the snipe was not submitted successfully.
This has happened several times recently, so could you please check the server/bid logs for my account and let me know what is causing these repeated failures?

When you say 'multiple' and 'several', please could you express this as a percentage of the snipes that you've scheduled ?
Are you a Mirror subscriber ? If so what offset are you scheduling for these snipes ?
Also if you have a subscription please can you check what status you are getting on the Mirror tab, is that also 'AUCTION ENDED EARLY OR SNIPE LATE' ?

I've had about two of these \"AUCTION ENDED EARLY OR SNIPE LATE\" in the past month.
Main shows \"AUCTION ENDED EARLY OR SNIPE LATE\"
Mirror shows \"AUCTION ENDED EARLY\"
Offset currently 6 and 3
Latest on item 960049090426 |

Apparently Ebay had a bit of a wobble for a minute or so when your snipe was to be submitted.
It's a rare occurrence, you were just unlucky to hit this one.
Sunday evening is definitely the most busy time for Ebay.

No, typically when there is a problem - there is a problem, nothing helps. But to confirm, this is very rare. |

AUCTION ENDED EARLY OR SNIPE LATE has happened to me twice in the last month. It's very frustrating, since Gixen was previously reliable.
Most recently, this happened for eBay Item Number 128143314575. The winning bid was $203.50, and my bid was $351.50! Made me sick.
I am a Mirror subscriber. Does anyone at Gixen have any ideas for how to prevent this? |

This happened to me last night on a different auction from the same seller. I messaged them and they said the auction did NOT end early. My max bid was $100 higher than the final sale price.

Is this two different Gixen users complaining about failed snipes with the same Ebay seller, or is it the same Gixen user complaining about two different failed snipes, but doing so from different computers ?
If it is different Gixen users, that might be an indication that there was some issue with this particular sellers auctions.

Actually it is both of those things. Two different Gixen users appear to have had the same problem with one eBay Seller's auctions on the same night. However, it is also true that I, one user, have had this happen to me twice in the last month (with different eBay Sellers). |
