I subscribed to Gixen last year with a PayPal automatic payment on the 24th April 2024.
Today I cannot enter a bid on an auction in my desktop manager or from my account on your website.
I am getting pop-ups telling me that I have to enter my bank details to verify my account. However, as I paid for a year that has not expired I think this is a scam.
What is going on? |

Gixen will never ask you for bank details.
You should also be able to turn any adverts off if you have an active subscription.
Have you checked your Settings page to see if your subscription is active on this Gixen account ?
What error do you get in the Desktop Manager ?
Are these pop-ups on your desktop, or in your browser ?
Do you have any security software running on your computer ? _________________ Mark |

Thanks for the prompt reply Mark.
I got the pop-up when I was trying to log in so I could not access mt account or the settings page. Today I did log in with no pop-up!
I was using Firefox on my desktop and the pop-up appeared when I tried to log in. I'd not used Gixen for a while and thought that my subscription had expired but when I checked it was still current..
The desktop manager is working for me - must have been user error/senior moment.
I have very good security on the computer.
The pop-up from memory was from something 2Go IIRC and there was no PayPal option.
I can now log in and see my account that is still within the subscription period, so all seems OK now. Very odd what happened. |

I'm not aware of any pop-ups that Mario has implemented for Gixen.
For now I'd put this down to an unfortunate coincidence.
Everyone should continue to be suspicious of any pop-ups that they don't expect. _________________ Mark |

No, it's definitely not Gixen. That popup must have been a Google ad, even though I never explicitly allowed popup ads. Let me know what URL it leads to and I will block it. I don't like that this is happening. |
