Item 133957774073
I submit a max bid of $5.60. I get home to find a notification from Gixen that my bid is under current bid price of $142.50. Check EBay and item sold for $2.60 with only 1 bid and no retractions.
I have a screenshot but can't post as it's not online.
Annoyed that I lost the auction and perplexed as to why.
Thanks |

On reflection, it seems that Gixen has generated a phantom bid. That should not be happening as it is bumping out bidders. |

The item you've provided a reference for:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/133957774073
was bought at a fixed price of AU $2.60 about 9 hours before the auction was due to complete, it was not purchased via a bid.
Did you not notice the BUY IT NOW button when you looked at the auction before scheduling your snipe ? _________________ Mark |

Arggg... no I didn't. But why does Gixen insert an amount in the highest bid section? Wouldn't I just get a notification that item is no longer available? |

I don't know why there would be a random amount reported back to you in this case, that does sound like a defect. _________________ Mark |
