Hi,
it has been some time now that I can't login and place bids unless I allow googleapis.com in the noscript ad blocker (firefox 78,13.9esr, debian 10.0).
Is this really necessary? I am very reluctant to support spyware on my computer.

Adds should not be presented on the Snipes page when you have an active Mirror subscription, do you have one ?
What exactly is it that is failing ? What error messages do you get ?

There is no error message, just that "sand clock" rotating forever. |

I don't think it's ads, Gixen also uses googleanalytics to collect stats on visitors.
"sand clock" closes when the entire page is loaded. It's possible that the page is not considered loaded unless google analytics calls have completed. |

Probably not if you are subscribed to Gixen mirror - I have a different monitoring in place now that's server side.
It may still be needed if you don't have a Gixen mirror subscription, as Gixen still uses Google ads.
I'll see what I can do, but can't disable this too quickly. |
