i wanted to bid on item number 284376010242 item went below my bid and gixon did not bid as said action ended early so i missed the item. looked normal on e bay

Did it get the status 'AUCTION ENDED EARLY' on both the Main and Mirror tabs ?

What offsets did you have for Main and Mirror ?

My last few auctions have come up with that error. Is gixen having a problem with British summer time?

This first happened a week or so ago. I put it down to the seller ending early because of no bids yet though there was no sign that it was actually ended early.

But after a couple more, well that's a 100% failure rate. Never had that before on any sniping site, free or otherwise.

It's not a timezone issue, Gixen isn't affected by timezone time changes.

Do you have a Mirror subscription and if so what offsets are you using on both the Main and Mirror servers ?

This happened to me too, but I think it was because the seller accepted a best offer when there were still no bids...

Yes, I've just had the same thing happen to me. I thought I was the only one, now I see it's been happening to others.

Lost out on an item I really wanted.

I dont have a Subscription and have used Gixen for many years without a hiccup.

Maybe this info can help trace the error....

I contacted the seller to see why he ended it early, and he didn't !

So it's a Gixen error somehow.

Without the backup of the Mirror server you would expect a failure of this type occasionally, perhaps up to 1 in 300 snipes, so if you've used it for years and this is the first occurrence I wouldn't class that as to bad... you may find that it doesn't happen again for another few years without a subscription.
