First bid on eBay UK
Second bid on eBay Germany (ends 1 hour later)
Do I set the Gixen main target ebay site to UK,
and mirror target site to Germany?
Thanks!

Actually the vast majority of auctions allow bidding from any site.
I'd recommend that you set the target to be your home site.
If you are worried about bids getting blocked, where your delivery address is located is far more significant than target site. _________________ Mark |

Thanks for your quick reply, Mark!
OK so if my delivery address is in Singapore, I should set my Gixen main target ebay site to be Singapore.
And the mirror target ebay site?
Germany or UK (or US)? The auctions in Germany and UK are hours away late into the morning. |

Personally, I have both Main and Mirror targets set to be my home site... so that if there are any issues with the purchase, at a later stage, it is always the customer service on my home site that I have to deal with.
There is an argument that setting them to different sites could provide extra redundancy, because technically one of the Ebay sites could be having issues when another could still be accepting bids. In practice I don't recall that happening for about 12 years now.
There's no real harm in having them as different sites though, so long as you don't mind occasionally having to deal with the Ebay customer service in those countries, I think it helps if you can communicate in the primary language of those sites. _________________ Mark |

I wouldn't expect extra redundancy in this way - all eBay country sites are physically located in the same hosting facilities in the US, from what I have seen in the past.
Target site is important only in case of problems - it determines insurance policy, what customer support you have to contact (US, UK, Germany), etc. |
