Change of eBay name / Gixen sign in

I’ve changed my eBay user name.
I’ve changed Gixen settings to the new one & reauthorised on both servers.
So I think all is good, though no snipes have triggered yet, they are all visible.

Previously my Gixen username was the same as my eBay name
I don’t think it matters if they are now different does it because they are not linked?

However, is there a way to change Gixen name if I wanted to in the future?

Yes, it is advisable not to have the same Gixen id name as your Ebay id name.

Have you set up your new snipes after you made the changes to the authorisations ? If not, I think that might also be advisable to do, since most settings only take effect on snipes that are scheduled after those changes are made.

As to changing your Gixen id, I'd recommend setting up a new Gixen account and doing the Ebay authorisations that you want on that, then transferring your Mirror subscription from the old account to the new one. Finally, if you so wish, you could even delete the old account as that option is now available at the bottom of the Settings page.

No I haven’t set any NEW snipes, all the OLD ones are still showing up but I see what you mean, if the snipe was set up for xyz(at)ebay.co.uk and I’ve now changed it to zzz(at)ebay.co.uk the old ones might not work.

I changed my EBAY username and presumed I had to change the Gixen mirror subscription for that, and did so to the new EBAY username - is that right? I'm getting messages from Gixen saying my mirror subscription (from my old ebay username) has expired. I used the transfer form in settings but I'm beginning to think that only refers to GIXEN username transfer, is that right?? You should clarify what username is changing in this form cos it's really confusing. I don't know how to link my new EBAY username to GIXEN otherwise (and how do I do that??) Thanks

If you change your Ebay username then you need to change your Ebay Authorisation, not your Mirror subscription.

You change your Ebay Authorisation via the second section of the Settings page.

The Mirror transfer form is used to move a Mirror subscription from one Gixen id to another Gixen id, it's not something you should use when you change your Ebay id credentials.
