263797582623 and 263981272266
I am bidding on 2 items from Portugal. EBay bidding is in US$. When I entered my bid in US$ with Gixen it apparently used that number as a foreign currency figure and translated my bid as a much lower (75% lower) US$ bid.
It appears this figure is based on the Portuguese escudo which hasn't been used since 2000 when Portugal switched completely to the Euro.
Even as a Euro figure it would be incorrect. There should be no conversion at all, just US$ all the way. What do you recommend? |

It is my understanding that Gixen does not apply any currency conversion at all and simply bids the amount you enter (which will be interpreted by eBay as being in the currency of the auction).
If that is not what happened for you, please email Mario directly at his Gixen support address using the instructions found on the Contact page. Be sure to include your Gixen username so he can look up what actually happened. _________________ John

You always bid in the currency of the listing, whatever it is. Gixen doesn't do any conversion at all. |

In that case, Gixen incorrectly shows the "Current" bid in USD. Screenshot:
