Losing an auction item with the same bid amount

I'm a Gixen subscriber. What did I do wrong? I had 6s offset on main and 3s on mirror. My bid arrived first and another bidder had the same bid amount as me but he won! Why wasn't he forced to bid a higher amount?

@calhubler The winning bidder's bid was placed at 4:09:28AM PDT, whereas your bids appear to have been placed at 12:29:19PM PDT. Thus, the winning bid was made over 8 hours before the auction ended, and the earlier bid wins by eBay rules.
