Hi Guys
I couldn't see a similar topic...
When I try to import my watch list from Ebay, Gixen only imports a few of the items actually in there.
Am I doing something wrong?
Cheers D |

The last time someone reported something similar was on this thread:
http://www.gixen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8127
I keep asking the same question, as I did on that thread, regarding how many items people display from their watch list, when logged into Ebay... but no-one has yet got back to me with any answer as to whether they have investigated this. _________________ Mark |

Just for fun, I tested it. With 13 items already in Gixen, one not on my Watch List, and 76 items total on my Watch List:
- Set view to 10 per page, import resulted in 18 items in Gixen.
- Deleted the extras, set view to 25, import resulted in 28.
- Deleted the extras, set view to 50, import resulted in 51.
- Deleted the extras, set view to 75, import resulted in all 76 items.
Not exactly the results I expected, but I didn't actually figure out which scheduled items were on which page of the Watch List, and I'm sure that accounts for the "overflow" of the page size. Cupid, I think you have your smoking gun.
Aside: Can we have a select-all checkbox, please? Maybe with a "not winning" filter option? I could even give you the Javascript I've been using. Let me know if I should start a new thread. |

microshnik,
Thank you, I will look into this. If all are visible when you set to show 75, I should be able to do that programatically.
Note that only non-completed, non-fixed-price listings can be imported, and also only listings on which you have not placed a bid already. |

Mario,
I've never tried importing my Watch List when I had more than 100 items on it (mainly because I try very hard to keep it lower than that so *I* don't have to page through), so I don't know how it behaves in that case. Keep in mind that eBay allows a maximum of 200 items on the Watch List but only allows you to view up to 100 of them at a time. |

It think it should also be possible to, programmatically, get to the later pages after the first is processed/
Ebay provides links to do this at the bottom of the page which, I think, add stuff like '&GotoPage=2' to the URL being processed. _________________ Mark |

Indeed. I almost suggested changing the page size for importing the list, but that setting seems to be stored server-side, so it would need to be set back after the import. I suspect it would be more efficient just to keep looking for a next page until it comes up empty.
Then again, maybe I should just leave the implementation details to Mario. O |
