I do not think my scheduled bid was executed for item 222202333100 and was wondering if you could shed some light on the situation, Mario. If I remember correctly, the bid was entered a little more than one hour before auction end.

I had not placed a manual bid on the item and received the notice, "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE" as shown in screencast.com/t/6exQ7eiLBxS. Note, though, that there was no reserve on this auction.

I have not recently subscribed to the Mirror Site.

See bid history - this auction had a retracted bid of $238 that caused your bid to be declined. I would ask seller to re-list, they have every right to do so.

Agreed, I missed that, it looks like bid shielding... which as far as Ebay are concerned is auction interference and is thus against their rules.

It does appear to be an increasingly common tactic used to obtain items at lower prices than they would otherwise be available at, though... and perhaps something Ebay should consider looking at taking more measures to detect and prevent.
