Just to start, i have spent hours trying to fix this. at this point my faith in this service is ruined. I have over the years used this service successfully, but ever since i bought the mirror service on this ebay account, the service has just sucked the free time from my life. SUCKs is being nice. so with that soapbox rant, i am getting the

CANCELED - VERIFICATION CODE REQUIRED BY EBAY
error message

setup proxy and its working
cleared cookies
logged out of eBay re-logged in
place bid no problems
but every single gixen bids ends with

ebay name robintweeter item #142030267507
CANCELED - VERIFICATION CODE REQUIRED BY EBAY

have re-tried several times on several different devices but zero luck. did not have this problem before buying mirror service.

If you are not able to replicate the issue that Gixen has when you enable the Gixen socks proxy in your browser then I suspect the proxy needs to be tweaked to more closely replicate the specific bidding activity that Gixen is trying to perform when it snipes for you. Perhaps even using the exact same IP address that is used for your snipes.

For a more speedy resolution I recommend emailing Mario direct at the support address given on the Contact tab above... you might like to highlight this thread when you do.

Please always include your Ebay id in any emails that you send.

I too am disappointed in this service. I paid the extra for mirror service and all was working fine until the "attack" I personally think that ebay is blocking any bids from gixen. I would like my $6.00 back but I doubt that will happen : ) because this is useless unless it works. That is my rant... Evil or Very Mad

tcmccoy,

I understand your concern... I can however confirm that though I personally had the same issues with having to contact Ebay and reset my password, Gixen is managing to place bids and win auctions on my account.

If you require a refund please email Mario direct at the support address given on the 'Contact' tab above, please do so via the email address that you have registered with Paypal, from which you made the original payment, and for further verification please include your Ebay id in the email.

I have the same problem - CANCELED - VERIFICATION CODE REQUIRED BY EBAY

I did everything that was explained - used gixen proxy, logged in ebay.co.uk and ebay.com , never i was asked for verification, then i made a manual bid.

Nothing helped. I am stuck with this error.

2013.indz,

If you re-enable a snipe, by editing it, and still get the same error then I would suspect that the socks proxy needs to be configured specifically for you in order to replicate what Gixen is doing when logging in to your account to place the bid.

For a more speedy resolution I would then recommend resorting to email, to the support address given on the 'Contact' tab above, and including your Ebay id in the correspondence.

I see this specific error happening with greater frequency all the time, so it's something we're going to have to get used to. It now happens to me around once a month, even when I'm careful about not scheduling snipes for <3 seconds within each other (which is a sure fire way to trigger this Ebay ban).

Following Gixen's recommended proxy procedures does not solve the problem for me anymore. But if you wait 48 hours without using Gixen, the problem goes away by itself, and it should start working again.

If you have a really important auction, I recommend entering a manual bid.

Hello,

Have had Gixen a few days now, purchased the mirror.

We are the highest bidder, however the bid fails every time due to a message needing a code from eBay.

We have followed all instructions, with clean cookies, log out and back in to ebay, set socks proxy, etc. and nothing seems to work.

Does ANYONE have any advise for me? Hours have been spent and we are getting no where here.

item auction number below to just one of the many we have lost to the very same message need code from eBay.

Unfortunately, once Ebay takes that action against your account it is impossible to log in without entering a code that you read from the screen.

It is usually triggered by unusual behaviour on your account, perhaps trying to enter an incorrect password more than once over a period of a few days. Perhaps accessing your account from multiple locations.

Ebay is now very sensitive to this so the best advice now has to be to ensure that you always enter the correct credentials whenever you try to log in either direct to Ebay or via Gixen.

Fortunately if they don't detect any further activity that they regard as remotely suspicious, they do seem to eventually remove the restrictions on your account so that Gixen can once more access your account in order to place the bids for you.

We can log in just fine, and yes there has been a couple of hiccups lately on the log in.

Twice in the last month ebay shut me down due to a security threat, and forced me to change my password twice and recently.

We were using BG and it no longer would work for us. Not sure what caused it to stop after years of using it.

So we got Gixen w/mirror.

Can't seem to get it to run right with the code needed error. I have never seen a pop up asking for a code, or I would sure call eBay for it. We only get the error.

After I set up proxy, I entered a bid manually, it did say it is scheduled, but then this morning I see I am outbid...The bidding has not ended, but I wonder why I didn't get that eBay code message on this try? and will I after the bidding ends?

272302372191
message is Bid under asking price..doesn't ask for code.

Any Advise?

I am sorry I do not know what 'BG' is.

The captcha code I refer to is just a blockage to you logging in to Ebay via an automated service like Gixen.. if you log in directly to Ebay you are asked to enter the code while logging in, n addition to your credentials... THere is no need to call Ebay.

Once you enabled the Gixen socks proxy in your browser did you then log into Ebay direct, and not just into Gixen?

I am also confused about what you did... did you place a bid manually on Ebay, or did you schedule a snipe here on Gixen?

If you schedule a snipe here and the price rises above a level that Ebay will accept your bid, then you would never expect to have your bid placed on Ebay at the end of the auction, since it is not possible to place a bid that Ebay will not accept.

eBay no longer inserts captchas / ask for verification except in exceptional cases. As for 272302372191 I don't see any issue... Things should no longer be failing for you, and if they do, please let me know the item id that failed.

Thank You, I do hope it will run for us..

Just got off the phone with eBay...1hr call 6 transfers..There is NO restrictions/block placed on our account. As for all the eBay item numbers including the 2 I passed over to you, that failed, ebay states they did not see them on their side as we even bid on those items? Also I ask them about a code??? eBay doesn't issue codes to get into these tools..nothing needed. This explains why there is no where to enter a code..only a message that does not apply.

They assure us it is the sniping tool failing???

We can use any password to access this gixen tool and get right into our account. That can't be right or even safe...I mean seriously?

We do know that the ID and password needs to be exact each time, with no error and we have been real cautious..fact remains..any password will do. Got us wide open to be hacked with that going on.

The eBay item number above shows that the bid is SCHEDULED and ends in about an hr and 1.2...lets see what happens when it ends..We are the highest bidder, if we don't get kicked out again.

Sighs...
