Hey,
Not sure if this is related but my last snipe says "CANCELED - SIGN IN NOT VALID".
Now all of my future snipes say the same "CANCELED - SIGN IN NOT VALID"
I hope its just a gixen glitch, I have 140 snips set up. Will they work?
I went to ebay and signed out then back in so its not an ebay password security change thing.
Thanks

Hi Bob,
It looked like a pretty major issue that Ebay was having... to me...
It may well be that Ebay refused to log you in, even when Gixen had the correct credentials, and that is treated by Gixen as a problem with what it has... even when the issue actually lies with Ebay... To protect your account from multiple attempts by Gixen to log in with the wrong credentials all snipes that have the same ones are canceled... That isn't as helpful as it might be when the issue is with Ebay itself, I concede... but that would be the reasoning for it.
You will need to edit all those snipes in order to re-enable them... That sounds like quite a long job... Unless Mario has a process that he is willing to run to enable them all again for you directly on the server? _________________ Mark |

Hi Cup,
So I have to go through ALL 140 snipes and redo them all 1 by 1 ?

I think you do have to edit each one in turn, yes... sorry.
You might want to email Mario and ask if he has a work around for you... I think he may have done that with a similar event recently... _________________ Mark |

I think Mario did his magic, all looks back now.
I did notice (even before this) when I click on an item number I get "This webpage is not available". Now when I copy the same number and do a search on an ebay page it comes up. So it kind of looks like going through gixen, the item link is broke? Just hope the snipes still work.
Thanks

Yes, if they have a status of SCHEDULED now then that will be because Mario has enabled them again.
That link is just provided to your own browser by Gixen... so, in other words, it is your own browser that is not finding the link that Gixen has supplied... of course if you have the Gixen socks proxy configured in your browser than that is going back via the Gixen server, is that what you are saying you do have?.. because in that case Mario may have to look at the configuration of the socks proxy for you... but I do not think you are saying that if you can get to the items on Ebay doing normal things in your browser.
Where the link points to is controlled by the setting you have for 'Your current country setting' which is the first option on the Settings page... What is yours set to? _________________ Mark |
