\"Secure Connection Failed\" error with Firefox 3

Since I have upgraded Firefox from 33.0 to 33.0.1, I have mostly been unable to log in to Gixen (although for some reason it occasionally works).

I think that the problem may be related to new, stricter certificate handling by Mozilla, but just in case anything can be done from the Gixen end, the error which I receive is:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to w w w.gixen.com. You have received an invalid certificate. Please contact the server administrator or email correspondent and give them the following information: Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate containing a unique serial number. (Error code: sec_error_reused_issuer_and_serial)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.

I wish I could replicate this. I am running Firefox 33.0.2, and see no issues, both on Mac and Windows. I also checked Chrome and IE, both on Windows, and Safari on Mac. I have never experienced an issue, though many users told me about issues they are having.

I am not saying that you don't see what you see, just that I cannot replicate the problem, which is necessary in order to solve it.

I was actually just about to post that upgrading to Firefox 33.0.2 had cured the problem, when it happened again!

It's very intermittent, and I suspect that it has something to do with new code in Firefox for handling the certificates required for https connections.
