|
|
I lost 2 auctions within the last couple of days and the reason Gixen did not bid is listed as "Sign in information is not valid" on one and "Cancelled - Sign in not valid" on the other one. I have not had any issues logging in to Ebay or Gixen using the current password and have not changed my password recently. I use Gixen regularly to bid (at least several times per week) and never has any problems until now. Please, advise what can be done to resolve this. Thank you in advance! |

Tea, I need your username in order to see what happened. Please email me, include your username and do not delete these completed snipes until I see what happened. |

I seem to have the same problem - Gixen wins an auction, and then a few hours later, tells me it could not bid on three other auctions due to Ebay login errors. I changed absolutely nothing in between, or even in the last week. |

The sign-in error msg read: "Verification code required by eBay, could not log in". |

|
|
I'm guessing ebay is somehow blocking bids/snipes from GIXEN IP. Maybe they don't like snipping, and by blocking GIXEN IP or some other similar mechanism, eBay thinks they can put an end to some of the snipping. I've had same issues as others recently, with "change password" and other verbiage coming up and no snipe going through.
I changed my password, as GIXEN suggested. Signed back into GIXEN w/ new ebay password, and when the first snipe was set to go off, I got another "change password" or some such.
If eBay is somehow blocking or blacklisting GIXEN IP(s), I don't know what GIXEN can do to address the problem.
Is it illegal to spoof an IP to fool eBay so we can get bids/snipes through? Its doable, but may not be the answer.
I had mirror service for a few years, and let it go lapse. I doubt I'll renew until we figure out how to address the issues.
Maybe it will somehow simply take care of itself, but I doubt it. |

OK....Trying for a forth time. Logged out of eBay. Logged back in to make sure my new password works. It did.
Logged out of GIXEN. Logged back in with the new eBay password. All fine. Put in another snipe on any old item that's about two bucks and somewhat useful if I win. twenty minutes left till auction closes. I'll see if I get the snipe through. BTW I changed my snipe time till for main to 15 seconds...since I don't care if I win or not, just want to see if it goes through.
I have a bunch of stuff on which I was gonna snipe in the next week, and while its not my day job, it does put food on my families table. Maybe I'll change to another snipping site for a week or two and see if that will be the answer? |

Your experience is disappointing.
Just for the record, I'm a full subscriber so it appears my three failures happened despite using the Mirror service. |

WilliamSmith, if you see message that eBay requires password change - please change it, there is no way around it.
CLS, please provide your username (or at least one item id) and I will see what happened. This does not happen on a regular basis. Email me if you do not want it posted in the forum. |
