no connect to ebay

changed ebay PW several times, longer, shorter, etc., and will not connect to ebay. get messages to change PW and something about a capcha code

There were quite a few issues with ebay this evening that caused users not to be able to log in, and also some snipes to fail with message "VERIFICATION CODE REQUIRED BY EBAY".

I am looking at this at the moment.

I had also the same problem. My snipe failed because of this ebay verification code. It's a shame because I lost a beautiful item because of this ...

Yes, as of one hour ago, I have lost three items on ebay because snipes failed. I get the error message telling me that verification failed. I foolishly did the proxy "fix" after the second fail, but nothing changed--I lost a third bid.

I saw a moment ago that this was happening in July and that it was "fixed."

Can someone explain?

This happened because eBay started inserting captcha images into bidding process. This is not possible to pass, the only thing that I can do is try to guess what behaviour caused it and avoid it in the future. Things are back to normal now.

The problem continues.
The other day I was able to log into my account and place a snipe. I lost the auction although my bid was higher (item 261568069403). When I realized that, I tried to log in but I got the message from Gixen "eBay refused your password". I changed it, waited 24 hours but I still can't use Gixen.

Is 'eBay refused your password' the message you are getting now... if so, I would recommend double checking that you are now using your current Ebay password to attempt to log in to Gixen.

I recommend checking that it is correct with Ebay first before trying again here.

Now, after a few hours, I can log into gixen again.
My question is: will I have the same problem? If I place a snipe, will I end up getting this message again?
