Hello,
just started using Gixen and I am quite happy with it (especially in terms of reliability).
I have to add about 50-70 bids per day and it is quite time consuming. Maybe I am too stupid to figure out a smart way to add them, but right now I have to go into every auction, copy the item number, paste it into Gixen and add it to the snipe list.
Since we are not supposed to use long CSV lists (what is long. Is 60 items considered long already?) I have the following suggestion:
I copy the auction link from the search page by right clicking the mouse, e.g.:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-applique-quilt-pattern-bee-flower-primitive-wall-hanging-folk-art-quilting-guc-/150958511321?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2325d414d9
paste it into the "auction number" field in Gixen and Gixen extracts/strips all nonsense around the item number automatically (should be 12 digits always) before adding it to the snipe list.
Do you think this is doable without any major programming efforts or does anybody have another idea how to get in many bids easily? They are usually from two or three vendors and I can arrange them onto 4 or 5 eBay search pages. I think adding them to a watch list would be even slower because I have to open each auction, right?
Anyway, I appreciate any hints on adding items into Gixen.

pioto, long is considered hundreds, up to 100 is fine.
You can also consider using autosnipe browser add-in (available for firefox and chrome), it's much easier than to do copy/paste. |

Hello Mario,
thanks for the answer. I installed the autosniper, and it is all right, but the main drawback is: I have to open each auction (they are always similar). I would prefer a way to skip that. I have found a tool that builds an Excel table with auctions numbers, descriptions and current bid price. This table can be easily modified for CSV import into Gixen. That's good enough for me right now. I will post the name of the tool if you allow it.
Are 3 imports of 70 pcs. each better than one with 200 (in terms of system load)?
I have two additional suggestions:
1) a button to erase all lost bids (or does such a button exist already).
2) a CSV import that accepts a semicolon as separator as well.
Otherwise I am pretty happy with the sniper and its reliability in particular.

'Purge Completed' does that... except that it erases all the snipes for auctions that have finished, not just the ones that you lost.
