Is there a way to apply contingency setting only to a certain group(s)? I.e. I want to apply this setting to only one group and simultaneously I want other groups to remain their "first won item cancels all the others snipes" policy.

Cheers! And thanks for this great service!

Well, yes... Contingency Groups are an extra option (that you have to enable on your Settings page) they do not replace the normal Groups... when available they appear at the top of the list of Groups that you can select, above the Regular Groups which are further down and operate the same as before you enabled Contingency Groups to appear.

Absolutely. When you enable contingency groups on the settings page they are just added to the selection combo box. You can then use both types of groups.

Doh! Stupid me! I did enable that setting, but didn't notice change in group names. Thanks guys!

I have second question: There's two auctions, the second one ending only 1min 29s after the first one ends. I want to apply contingency group setting to these auctions. But is the time difference too short between these auctions? I'm in danger of winning the second auction even if I loose the first one?

Yes, you need 2 minutes difference to be safe.

Damn... Is that 2 minutes absolute minimum or is there even a slight possibility that I could avoid that situation if I try (at my own risk of course)?

That's the time I guarantee will work as intended. With a minute and half difference it should be very rare that the second bid doesn't get canceled, but I cannot guarantee it.

To explain this further - there is a mechanism in code that will kick out of queue already "in-flight" snipes. It is intended to work with as little as 20 seconds remaining. But this is still best effort, not something that's guaranteed to work. The only thing that's guaranteed is if a snipe never gets into the execution queue, hence the 2 minutes limit.

I hope what I just explained makes some sense to you?
