Dear Gixen, New to this service so still finding my way. Item 330676322086, my snipe $85.00 sold for $34.99. Looks like I have not activated the bid or made some other error. Since its bound to be at my end I have since changed my password again thinking it may be linked to that as I upgraded on the advice of Gixen. Thus I have lost the record. I was not logged into ebay at the time of the bid-does this matter? Any advice gratefully accepted.

| You did nothing wrong at all. Unfortunately Gixen was late for this one. This happens on occasion. |

| I am somewhat confused to that "upgraded". Do you mean upgraded to mirror service? I don't see your account having mirror. |

Thanks for your reply 30th January. I have yet to join the Mirror service-still feeling my way. By upgrade I meant I took your advice and upgraded my simple password which I had used for years. Today I ran into another problem. Item 230738976309. No bid made and Gixen says,"Auction restricted No Pay Pal account". I seem to pay every few days for one thing or another. To check I just paid for an item purchased a few days ago and Pay Pal accepted this with no query. This was after checking why the bid failed. Any thoughts or am I jinxed?

David,
A few sellers specify that you mist have a Paypal account or you bid will be blocked. EBay assumes that you don't have one unless you link it to your eBay account, you do that by logging into eBay and looking under the 'Account' tab near the top, then select the 'PayPal account' on the left hand side and the options to link your Paypal account are available under there.
