Problem posting a bid with the error ""EBAY ERROR: BID FLOW RESET (11)" shown.

What's this error about?

Item 120843671585 (yes, I lost the bid.)

What this usually means is that eBay asked you to log in again after the normal login was completed but before the bid could be placed (I think the number relates to when this happened in the normal sequence of eBay pages).

Was this snipe Mirrored and if so did both servers get the same error?

This happens occasionally, I think most often it is related to eBay resetting sessions at their end, perhaps due to configuration changes that they make occasionally, it can also happen when eBay want further verification on your account, something like a Credit Card being registered with it, before they will let you make any more bids.

It's rare that sessions get reset, it's far more likely that your account needs verification of some kind. Try to place a bid manually, and then see what it is that ebay wants.

Was it a Mirrored snipe?

No, it was a one-server snipe, however I don't think this is an accident - I have this page logged, and while I don't understand all the variables on the login form, some parameters on this form indicate that eBay wants something related to your account. I don't really know what, that would be visible after logging in again on that second screen.

I would check that there are no expired cards, or similar issues. Please let me know if you find out the cause.

Used a coule of differnt browsers to log into the account from the main page. No notifications at all using any browser specific functions.

No emails needing attention.

I am also a seller but the are seller account notifications. And the account balance has been at zero.

no other messages needing resolution or answer.

Card and other account information is current.

Text notification current.

No outstanding feedback needing attention for purchase or buyers.

No open or close resolutions needed attentions.

In fact the only thing new on the account in the last week was
(a) My bids
(b) Some eBa buck to spend. (but the notification was acknowldged before the end of the auction relating to this thread).

I think it is only when you come to place a bid that eBay notifies you of some things... At this stage I'd agree with Mario that you should try some manual bids to see if you can flush out what eBay wants.

I have also received the "EBAY ERROR: BID FLOW RESET (11)" a few times. I am using the mirror (paid version). An example is item 320891009247. I have won other items on the same day without issue.

Thanks for any help!

This happens sometimes. Mirror server has "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE" status for this auction, and this is due to ebay bid increment not being met (even though your bid was higher than the winning bid).

Another "EBAY ERROR: BID FLOW RESET (11)" - lost another one. I had $15 for my max and someone else won it for $11.50.

Maybe I am not using the Offset/Mirror settings correctly. I have no idea where to learn about these features; I tried the forums but didn't see anything definitive.

Any help would be great, thanks.

eBuzz,

For item 120900294343 if the status on both the Main and the Mirror was "EBAY ERROR: BID FLOW RESET (11)" I think it is most likely that eBay had an issue at that particular moment.

Any conceivable use of the offset feature here on Gixen would not cause this.

No, this almost certainly has nothing to do with offset. What is more likely is that eBay wants something from you, by inserting an additional logging screen. It may be that some of your information is not accurate, your credit card expired, or other. Try to place a bid manually, and see what happens.

Manual bidding works great.

I have noticed that I never seem to get the error if I place a bid long before the snipe takes place vs. never placing a prior bid. I hope we can figure this out for anyone else who may be having this issue.

Thanks for being responsive!

Are you in a position to place a manual bid on an item from the same seller(s) as you are getting this problem with?

Also, please pay attention what you see when placing a bid manually, and take a note of all the screens you see. There has to be some warning screen that you skip or not even notice, and that Gixen doesn't expect to see.
