Error message "could not load SSL library"

I subscribed to Gixen mirror and used the service successfully once.
Since then, every time I click on Gixen desk, I get the error message "could not load SSL library. Then the desktop manager 1.3.3 comes up and it will not take any input in the body of the interface. I can click on Settings, tools and about. Clicked on settings to check on username and password. When I then clicked ok, got the same message about not being able to load ssl library.

Do you start GDM from the same directory where all the DLLs and GDM executable are? (e.g. not using a shortcut with different working directory)

If yes, then try deleting all the DLLs and installing OpenSSL for Windows from scratch. If you Google for it, you will find a download page, just select the correct version for your OS.

That will probably resolve the issue.
