With the free to use option this service attempts to place your bid 6 seconds before the end of the auction.
With a Mirrored service ($6 per year) you can change that default or you can set it individually for each snipe, the options are then 15, 12, 10, 8, 6 and 3 seconds. _________________ Mark |

You can change the defaults on the Settings page, you get that when you push the button of that name at the top of your snipes page.
In addition when setting up a snipe you can use the drop down 'Offset:' and 'Mirror:' options to the left of the 'Add' button to set offsets on an individual basis.
If your snipes are Grouped they are not Mirrored, by definition they can be replaced by each other so it isn't so important to Mirror these. That is the usual reason why snipes are not on the Mirror when you have a subscription, but if this is not the case please let us know. _________________ Mark |

I don't know, but I had a similar problem. I did not know that we were supposed to go into settings, and I could not find it when I looked. I might have been looking for preferences. But of course settings is right up there in plain site. So when I tell people about how to use Gixen I tell them to set the settings, and place a bid. But all I did was place a winning bid.
It is only by going through preferences that a Gixer can see the power of the application and the reasons for upgrading. How can I get alerts for new posts? |

It is only necessary to change the settings to get different defaults, the amounts selected when you use the drop down boxes when you set up snipes always take precedence. _________________ Mark |
